Accessibility Statement : We have been unable to build our accessible toilets in 2024 and apologise in advance for the lack of fully accessible toilets but there is an access ramp to the building and it is all on one level. There are single small steps into some of the rooms. Blue badge parking is available and our marshalls will direct you. The buffet car is a 1930s coach which is not able to be adapted for disabled use but the staff can bring your order to a seating area on the station platform.
Dog Access: Barras the Station Cat and his kittens will be in residence. He welcomes visitors but is wary of dogs and tends to lash out to them if they are on long leads. Well behaved dogs on short leashes can be accommodated and our volunteers will keep him calm. Please be aware this will be a busy event and nervous dogs may find it stressful. Only assistance dogs are allowed to access the buffet car with their human.
Covid 19 Statement: The station platform is well ventilated and stalls have been positioned using social distancing guidelines Face Coverings are optional and we have plenty of hand sanitising stations. We already have enhanced cleaning procedures in place and will do our upmost to keep you safe during your visit to our historic Victorian Station.
We have also received funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to provide the Elf Hunt and fund organisational costs.
